Pawtucket Wards (or Councilmanic Districts)

The purpose of the Pawtucket Republican City Committee is to find and support Republican candidates for office. The members of the committee set the local election platform and elect the delegates to the State Central Committee (RI GOP). Delegates to State Central (RI GOP) include the City Chairman and six elected by the City Committee.

The City Committee is made up of the six Republican Ward Committees in the city. The members of the ward committees are elected by the voters in election year primaries. Each ward committee has up to Seven members, they each elect officers and may raise funds. The Ward Chairmen are: Bob Castle (1), John Hughes (2), Dick Patnaude (3), Joel Tirrell (4), Ed Dunbar (5), and Hal Gibson (6).
